Cremation Done Right... Here. By Us.

Choosing cremation doesn't mean choosing less. It means choosing differently, and we'll make sure that difference is handled with every bit of the same care and dignity we bring to every service we provide.

Unlike many funeral providers in the area who must send their loved ones elsewhere for cremation, Coker Family Funeral Home performs all cremations on-site, by our own team. Your loved one never leaves our care. That's a promise we take seriously, and one we're proud to be able to make.

Whatever service you envision around the cremation, we'll help you build it.

Traditional Funeral Service followed by Cremation

Cremation and tradition aren't mutually exclusive. Many families choose to have a full funeral service first — a viewing, a visitation, a formal ceremony — followed by cremation in place of burial. You get the gathering, the ritual, the chance to say goodbye together, with cremation as the final step. Cremated remains can be returned to your family in an urn, scattered in a meaningful location, or interred in a columbarium.

Memorial Service

A memorial service celebrates a life without the constraints of a traditional funeral format. It can be held in our chapel, a church, a family home, or any venue that holds meaning for your family. We'll help you shape it around the person you lost,  their stories, their music, their faith, and lift the burden of planning from your shoulders so you can simply be present.

Graveside Service

Simple, intimate, and meaningful. A graveside committal service gathers the people closest to your loved one for a final farewell before their remains are laid to rest. We'll tailor it to feel exactly as private or as inclusive as your family needs.

Permanent Memorialization

Once you've chosen cremation, there's no single right answer for what comes next. Here are the options we help families navigate:

Keeping an Urn at Home
Many families find comfort in keeping their loved one close. We offer a wide selection of urns to help you find something that truly fits, from classic to deeply personal.

Columbarium Placement
A columbarium niche provides a permanent, dedicated resting place your family can visit and return to. Many families find deep comfort in having somewhere to go.

In-Ground Burial of the Urn
For families who want a traditional grave marker and resting place, the urn can be buried just as a casket would be, providing a physical location to visit and remember.

Scattering the Ashes
Some families choose to scatter their loved one's cremated remains somewhere that held special meaning, a favorite stretch of Texas Hill Country, a lake, a place they loved. We'll help you understand the options and any considerations involved.

Burying the Urn

Similar to a casket, the in-ground burial of the urn allows for a final resting place.
